What a Storm

We had quite the monsoon storm tonight. I worked a little late tonight so I could leave on vacation next week and be somewhat caught up. Luke was at my Mom's, Matt and TJ were at Matt's football camp. I called at 7:30ish and TJ was just leaving the camp. I asked him to go and get Luke (who was playing with Grandma on the patio in the rain). He said he had to go that it was raining. It was just starting to rain at the office when I was leaving. As I got off the freeway and was dring down Ellsworth I saw my life flash before my eyes! It was the SCARIEST car ride home. It was raining so hard I couldn't see out the windows AT ALL and Ellsworth road has so many dips in it that filled up so fast with water. I couldn't see anything around me because it was so dark. There were a couple of times I was afraid I was going to be on the news crying that my car was stuck and I was getting a ticket for that Stupid Motorist thing! So I decided to follow this huge Tahoe or something. If the water was way high on his car I knew I shouldn't go. Luckily I got home, but TJ & the boyz were not! So what does a Watson/Warin girl do???? Worry!!! I called Mom and TJ and Matt had stopped by the Game store (that's another posting at a different time) and was on his way to get Luke. I asked Mom to call me when they left...well she didn't and at 9:00 I called and she said they left a while ago. Again what does a Watson/Warin girl do???? Worry! I call TJ and he had been detoured off Power and went down a side street to come home...not a good idea. It's dark out here and he got pushed off the road by the waters or something and almost went into a ditch. He finally made it home too, but we all hugged each other A LOT when they got home! I haven't seen a monsoon like this one in years!

When TJ got home the rain was letting up and we went into our back yard and the water was up past my ankles. We looked out over the fence (where the wash is) and there was a running stream of water. It sounds just like a stream back there. We are trying to take pictures, but since it is so dry here, I bet it will be gone before morning when we can take a picture.

If you are still reading this post....#1 I'm impressed you read it all and #2 We love you! Tell everyone close to you that you love them because you never know what can happen!

We love you and your family too! Glad to hear everyone made it home safely! Understanding Monsoons are crazier then the thunderstorms in Ohio but I've experienced somewhat of a same experience... Few!!! Hope life is well and sunny! :)
